Wayan's Guesthouse offers accommodation and surrounds which is well above what you'd expect for the price. The Guesthouse offers a rare opportunity of staying with a local family who are generous with their local recommendations and knowledge. The rooms, bathrooms and surrounds are absolutely beautiful. We loved our partially 'outdoor' shower/bathroom.

Wayans was a real gem ! Air cond, clean, close to beach and a few essential shops, so great - far enough away form the tourist hangs. But close enough to go to the famed Echo Beach for a meal and a shop. He hires out motor scooters and is a fabulous tour guide with excellent English and knowledge. His family is very sweet, and you live right there in the family compound, with the elders and the children. So its a real home stay feeling. He has a beautiful garden, and a very comfy bed. Only 4 rooms, no pool tho. It's the real Bali. And very affordable. Breakfast is extra, please order form the brochure in your room, as the funky little organic cafe up the road had great meals, but delivers in foam containers - which , as a greenie, I don't like.

The rooms are like a four star hotel! He and his family made us feel at home, allowing us to use their kitchen and leaving us to enjoy the peace and quiet of their garden. A free supply of drinking water was most welcome. Also arranhpged trips to nearby attractions such as Tanah Lott and Echo beach. The nearest beach is very close and clean.
The rooms are in a block of three, if other guests are inconsiderate it could disturb you but Wayan is aware of that.

We loved everything! Wayan and his wife were very friendly. The room was very clean will all the commodities necessary. The bed its big and you have tv and dvd player and fridge. Wayans rents motorbike that will be necessary for a very good price. We will come back in a next trip to Bali.

Wayan was friendly and very accommodating. He made sure we knew how to get around and were comfortable. The room was clean and airy. The outdoor bathroom was spotless. There is a DVD player, wifi, mini fridge etc.
We didn't end up staying for our whole reservation as we wanted to be around a bit more hustle and bustle. Our initial plan had been to use his guesthouse as a home base and take many day trips etc but when we arrived we realized that we would rather have more of a lazy poolside holiday and so went to stay with some friends. If you're ok with taking scooters around and want somewhere really quiet and beautiful and simple... It's a great place!
